Super Duplex Steel Slitting Coils typically consist of about 25% chromium, 7% nickel, and 3.5% molybdenum, along with some nitrogen and manganese. This unique composition gives them remarkable resistance to pitting, stress corrosion, and crevice corrosion. The alloy features a ferritic-austenitic microstructure, which contributes to its impressive strength and toughness. Mechanical properties include a minimum yield strength of 550 MPa, a tensile strength of around 750 MPa, and an elongation of up to 25%. Its high PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) makes it particularly well-suited for harsh environments. These slitting coils are reliable under high pressure and temperature conditions, outperforming traditional stainless steels in demanding applications.
